The ACM Solid and Physical Modeling (SPM) Symposium and the IEEE Shape Modeling International (SMI) Conference are part of the 2005 Convention on Shapes and Solids,  which will be hosted at MIT and chaired by Prof. Nicholas M. Patrikalakis. The 2004 Convention on Shapes and Solids took place in Genoa, Italy.

The Convention will be held on the MIT Campus in the EG&G Building (Building 34), in Room 34-101 (50 Vassar Street in Cambridge, MA). On Wednesday June 15, 2005, the Grier Room 34-401 (on the 4th fourth floor of Building 34) will be available to all delegates all day to use for convention breaks and informal meetings.
